About Viper Innovations
Viper Innovations is a UK-based engineering specialist delivering intelligent electrical integrity solutions, supporting subsea, rail, and other industrial sectors where reliability of critical electrical systems is essential. Their approach combines advanced monitoring technology with practical engineering expertise, enabling customers to optimise performance, improve safety, and extend asset life.
As the business grew, so too did the need for systems that could keep pace, ones capable of connecting finance, operations, and supply chain in a way their existing tools simply couldn't support.
The Challenge
Viper Innovations was running across multiple disconnected platforms, Sage 200 for finance and a bespoke MRP system for inventory, project tracking, and timesheets. While each system served its purpose in isolation, the lack of integration created significant friction across the business. Teams were duplicating effort, workarounds were commonplace, and getting a clear, consistent picture of performance meant manually stitching together data from multiple sources.
With the business continuing to grow, it became clear that this fragmented setup was no longer fit for purpose. Viper needed a single platform that could bring everything together, provide real-time visibility, and scale alongside their ambitions - rather than hold them back.

The Solution
Creative Computing implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, delivering the project in two phases. Phase 1 focused on finance and core processes, with Phase 2 expanding into stock management, purchasing, and invoicing.
Throughout the project, Creative took a structured and collaborative approach, running discovery workshops to define requirements early, producing detailed Functional Requirements Documents to align scope and responsibilities, and maintaining regular review sessions to refine the solution as it evolved. Their willingness to engage openly, adapt where needed, and work through challenges constructively made them a natural fit for Viper's team and culture.
The Outcome
Business Central has brought meaningful change to how Viper Innovations operates day-to-day. Manual workarounds and spreadsheet-based processes have been significantly reduced, data is more accessible across the organisation, and teams now have greater clarity on how their activities connect to overall business performance.
Finance has seen improved controls, reporting, and efficiency. Project tracking and timesheet visibility has given leadership better insight into resource allocation. Supply chain and purchasing processes are now more structured and consistent. And critically, there is now a single source of truth connecting financial and operational data - enabling faster, more confident decision-making across the business.
With 14 years on the previous MRP system, the transition has been a significant one for the team, but the foundations are firmly in place. With Phase 1 and Phase 2 complete, Viper Innovations now has a platform built not just for where they are today, but for where they're heading next.
