At what point should you or your clients migrate from the likes of Xero or Sage to Business Central? We’ve got the answers to help you choose or advice on the best solution for your organisation or client’s business. I’m Laura from Creative, and this is Dynamics unwrapped…
At Creative we pride ourselves on being upfront, open, and honest, and that means we recognise when Business Central is or is not necessarily the best solution for a business. Accounting software like Xero is great for smaller organisations, its user friendly and does everything you would need from a basic accounting perspective. However, businesses that experience growth or have complex operational needs beyond basic accounting, this is when Business Central would be a more suitable solution. This is because it’s designed to scale with your business, and it provides enterprise-level functionalities including advanced inventory management, manufacturing, and supply chain capabilities.
Xero offers core accounting features which is ideal for organisations looking primarily for accounting software. But, if a business needs more sophisticated financial management capabilities or needs to handle international transactions, then they should look to Business Central as it includes robust financial management features and goes beyond accounting with features like budgeting, advanced financial reporting with Power BI integration, and multi-currency management.
Also, we understand that every company is different and even though Xero is versatile it lacks industry-specific functionalities. With Microsoft’s vast partner network, hundreds of industry specific extensions have been created to provide a more tailored solution especially to those more niche industries.
For accountants, this is an opportunity to provide your clients with another avenue as Xero may not be the best solution for them. So, if you would like to know more about Business Central then stay tuned for the next video or get in touch to book a demo!
